We’re supporting a new AA fantasy adventure studio who are looking for a Gameplay Concept Artist to bring gameplay ideas to life through clear, functional sketches that directly inform production.
This isn’t about polished marketing art – it’s about ideation, speed, and clarity. You’ll be working closely with designers and animators to visualise mechanics, character abilities, environments, and props in a way that’s immediately understandable and usable by the team.
They want someone who can rapidly sketch out gameplay moments and create spec-style drawings that act as production-ready documentation. Experience creating illustrations is great, but the priority here is clarity over polish. The role requires strong communication, sharp ideation skills, and a solid understanding of how gameplay systems come together.
It’s a remote-first setup with a contract-to-hire structure and competitive pay, working directly with a small team of AAA veterans. If you’ve got a portfolio that includes gameplay ideation sketches and at least one spec-style annotated drawing, it’s worth a conversation.
